Level 2-3 Sewing Class: Some prior sewing experience required

How badass would it be to make your own backpack out of waxed canvas?! This knapsack class is the perfect marriage of approachable yet challenging skill building + rugged functional style. During this 1-day intensive workshop you will get a thorough introduction to bag making while learning to sew this Waxed Canvas Knapsack from start-to-finish. Ellie Lum, founder of RE Load Bags & custom bag maker of 17 years, will guide you through the making process step-by-step, ensuring you build knowledge & confidence along the way. This class focuses on industrial sewing techniques for home sewing such as: Handling heavy-duty fabrics, sewing zippers, easing heavier fabric around curves, sewing webbing straps, and working with waxed canvas, an much more. Not only will you go home with a backpack that you made yourself from start-to-finish, you will also gain valuable sewing skills to build on. 

Class Fee: $90 + $45 (Materials Fee) = $135 total
