How badass would it be to make your own backpack out of waxed canvas?! This knapsack class is the perfect marriage of approachable yet challenging skill building + rugged functional style. During this 1-day intensive workshop you will get a thorough introduction to bag making while learning to sew this Waxed Canvas Knapsack from start-to-finish. Ellie Lum, founder of RE Load Bags and custom bag maker of 17 years, will guide you through the making process step-by-step, ensuring you build knowledge & confidence along the way. This class focuses on industrial sewing techniques for home sewing such as: Handling heavy-duty fabrics, sewing zippers, easing heavier fabric around curves, sewing webbing straps, and working with waxed canvas, an much more. Not only will you go home with a backpack that you made yourself from start-to-finish, you will also gain valuable sewing skills to build on. 

**We wil provide sewing machines and all materials for the projects in class. Just bring yourself!
