We are excited to partner with PDX Skillshare to offer this skill-building class for $25!
Always dreamed of growing a green thumb, but don't know where to start? Come get your hands dirty and learn introductory techniques to growing kitchen herbs in containers. At our class you will learn the basics of making a container garden, including painting and preparing your container for planting, what herbs are best for growing indoors, what kind of soil to use, and how to care for your plants and keep 'em thriving.
We'll provide the containers, plants, paint, soil, and our gardening knowledge. Spice up your cooking and medicine cabinet; fresh herbs not only taste amazing, they also make your kitchen smell great, clean your air, and have wonderful medicinal properties. You'll go home with your own container herb garden that you made yourself with your own hands!
This class will be co-taught by Shaina O'Niell-Butler of Mt. Pleasant Herb Farm & Ellie Lum of Klum House.
What is PDX Skillshare?
PDX Skillshare helps neighbors teach neighbors valuable skills. On July 12, 2014 we held a day of FREE classes, taught and organized by your neighbors. We had over 50 teachers and hundreds of students participate. It was a great way to learn new skills, pick up a hobby, and meet other people , all in a fun and informal setting. We believe everyone has something to teach and everyone has something to learn. We have a whole new line up of skillshare classes launching this year!
