Hear the journey of creative storyteller Yvonne Perez Emerson Founder/Director of WeMake, a non-profit arts organization that helps to foster art and design in Portland's creative community through hands-on experiences and creative dialogue. BIO - YVONNE PEREZ EMERSON - Yvonne is a spirited explorer. In 2011 she founded WeMake as a passion project and platform to make, learn, and collaborate. Her multi-disciplinary graphic design studio, The Study, is focused on the art of storytelling—both in digital and analogue form. She is also the owner of Tillamook Station, a place to gather and create, and an adjunct professor at Portland State's School of Art & Design. Read more about Yvonne.
BIO - REBECCA PEARCY - Rebecca Pearcy grew up in a household of self-employed artists and started crafting at a young age. After making and selling her wares through high school & college, Rebecca officially launched Queen Bee Creations in 1996 when she was 23 years old. Rebecca started creating her colorful bags, wallets, and accessories from a corner in her bedroom, and slowly grew the business as demand increased. Read Rebecca's Full Bio.
BIO - SARAH WOLF - Sarah is a ceramic artist native to Portland, Oregon. She creates beautiful one of a kind pieces under the name Wolf Ceramics. She enjoys crafting objects that will be used by her friends and community for years to come, especially the cups and mugs that will be filled with each morning's coffee or tea. Currently, she works out of her studio at the Oregon College of Art and Craft as well as her new studio in NW Portland. Read Sarah's Full Bio.
BIO - CASSIE RIDGWAY - Cassie is the co-owner/designer at Altar Boutique on Hawthorne. For 7 years, she has proudly designed her apparel line in-house, amid a mixed collection of offerings from independent manufacturers that she adores. Cassie is also a contributing fashion columnist for The Portland Mercury, as well as the producer of such fashion events as Unmentionable: A Lingerie Exposition, The Alley 33 Fashion Event, and many more.
