Is the fact that you ride a bike a defining characteristic of who you are? If you’re like us, you spend many hours in the saddle, connected to your bike, relying on it to get you places (metaphorically and physically). Often thought of as an extension of yourself and your own personal style, the look of you're bike should reflect that place of importance in your life. Besides, off the shelf bike models can feel soul-less. You can personalized you’re bike by building it up with custom parts, but why stop there? Exercise you’re freedom of expression and unique style by embellishing your bike.
Join Dustin Klein, fine artist and Founder/Creative director of Cadence Cycling Apparel for an introduction to bike embellishment. Prolific as an artist in the cycling culture, Klein’s work has been seen on bicycles as commissions, collaborations, and on his own personal bikes; Brokeland, Ritchey, Humble, Specialized, and Brake Brake 17 to name a few. In this three hour workshop you will learn how to alter the paint, graphics, lettering, and color among other things, to truly personalize your bike. Dustin will cover the various techniques he’s developed form over years of experience & students will try their hand at it on their own bikes.
