Level 1-2 Sewing Class: No prior sewing experience needed, but some is helpful.
Learn to sew the McKenna tote in this 4.5 hour sewing workshop. Not only will you go home with a killer tote made start-to-finish with your own two hands, you will also learn indispensable rugged sewing techniques for the home stitcher.

Maker Kits & Materials
All classes come with a half priced maker kit. A McKenna Tote Maker Kit is included in the price of class & has everything you need to make your beautiful bag! Opt to bring your own liner fabric or choose from our variety of beautiful cotton fabrics.
Choose from Black, Gray, Burgundy, Olive, Navy, Slate Blue, and Field Tan.
You will have a chance to make fabric selections after you add the class to your cart. Leather & hardware choices will be made during class.
*Please Note: One of the allures of waxed canvas is it's ability to show wear & use. With more use, more creases appear in the canvas, and all the marks start to blend.

Bringing Your Own Liner Fabric?
All students get a 10% off discount at Bolt Fabric Boutique for materials. Please mention you are buying materials for a workshop at Klum House.
1 yard of medium-weight linen, cotton, Japanese cotton, quilting cotton, denim, canvas, hemp/cotton blend or linen/cotton blend fabric. *Yardage based on a standard 45" bolt. If you have a fabric on hand and are not sure whether it will work for the project, please email us and ask!
Please Note: If you are bringing your own liner fabric, we ask that you make arrangements with us to arrive 30-45 minutes early to class to cut your bag liner and fuse the interfacing. Alternately, you may print the pattern + cut your fabric at home. You will be emailed a PDF of the pattern and instructions before the day of class.
