I love the style of this bag, I ended up making it too stiff though by interfacing my lining made of medium weight drill fabric. That combined with waxed canvas made the bag too rigid for me (also interfaced the base with a heavy weight woven), so it sticks out off my back too much.
I’m going to make another one without any interfacing and also a lighter weight waxed canvas.

This bag is very versatile and came with clear instructions to make the sewing process go smoothly. I have made this bag for a friend but after seeing the finished product I am anxious to make one for myself!

I cut, sew and attached leather in 4 hours. Instructions were so easy and even the parts I thought would be hard were a breeze!
This was a prototype to test pattern so excited to make a proper version with nicer waxed canvas soon.
I especially looooove the large scale printing option. I hate taping patterns together and I work in an Architects office so I was able to print full scale.

I bought the pattern only for the Naito together with a slab town video tutorial on my very first buy, I regret that i did not took the option for video with the Naito purely because i am a novice. The Patterns and the description book is Flawless.

This is a great bag. Not too big, not too small. The instructions to make it are very straight forward and clearly written.

Would love to see options for variety on the inside pockets—some open and some zippered. I’ll likely customize my next one so there is a snug little AirPod pocket and a couple that zip closed.
If you make this bag, be sure to use heavy canvas. I used oilcloth that was a little too light, and it doesn’t hold its shape as well as I would like. Instructions are clear on this point, but I went rouge!

Though I had purchased a Naito maker kit, I really wanted the pattern too! I knew I would want the entire pattern eventhough the maker kit had the downloadable instructions and pattern drafting information. Maybe I just geek out out the incredible instructions and the really perfect drawings! Also I knew I would be making loads more of this pattern!

Love the pattern, I haven’t used it yet. But I wish I would’ve know it came with the video. I would have purchased the video. Now it’s another added costs that I wouldn’t have had to add on top of the pdf pattern. I was so excited to get the pattern, I didn’t read all the buying options.
